Effective coaching means that the supervisor will pinpoint specific issues an associate is having and quickly implement corrective measures either directly or by referring the associate for additional formal training.
In an ELS environment the supervisor must also be proficient at understanding the productivity reports and at using these report to improve the efficiency of the workforce. Supervisors that can properly interpret productivity reports and bring the appropriate corrective measures and coaching will empower the workforce to be successful.
